Coaching

At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want - Lao Tzu

So what is coaching?

A coach is someone who is there to help you design, plan and instigate successful business/life strategies.  Life is full of questions waiting for answers - sometimes we need the objective support of someone else to coach us through to the answers. Sometimes we cannot see what is obviously in front of us or our past throws up barriers to our growth and development.

Business/Executive coaching involves helping you improve your performance at work.  Executive coaching is often about the psychology of excellence - making what's good even better.  Business coaching could include helping you get the best out of your staff, your peers and superiors as well as helping you identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, potential and communication to empower and enrich relationships.

Life/Personal coaching  focuses in a more holistic way on an area of life that you would like to improve.  A Life Coach could help you be more assertive in relationships, develop confidence to do the things that you want to do, live life with a purpose and take control of your future.

Although Business/Executive and Life/Personal coaching are seen as separate many people find that they are linked.  Sometimes what seems like a business problem may have a connection with other life factors.

There are many exercises, skills and techniques used in coaching.  It is:

  • practical and skill based
  • Individually tailored to each person's requirements
  • Fitted around your life and your needs
  • Outcome driven
  • Not a substitute for personal motivation - you still have to take responsibility for the problem, the changes you make and the amount of work you choose to do!
